Universal Pre-School Coming to Ignacio

5th Jun 2023

Governor Polis has cleared the way for Universal Preschool  (UPK) across the state. The Ignacio School District and IELP will be working in collaboration to serve our pre-kinder students. All children who are four years old (one year away from kindergarten) will qualify for at least 15 hours per week beginning in August of 2023.  Children with at-risk factors will qualify for 30 hours per week.

Please consider signing up for preschool in Ignacio as soon as possible.  It must be done on the State website atUPK.Colorado.gov.  Please select the Ignacio Early Learning Program (IELP). It is important to know how many students will be attending in the fall to ensure staffing, classrooms, and resources will meet the needs of our learners.
