Jim has been on the Ignacio board for four years. Jim is married with three children and several grandchildren. He has proven to be an excellent board member for the Ignacio School District. He is very conscientious and well thought-out when making decisions for the district. During his time as a board member, the district has increased salaries and improved the staff work environment. This has led to higher staff retention and pride. Jim offers insight and common sense to a school board that has carefully worked through policy and budget decisions that honor students, staff, and the community. The schools have seen improved academic growth scores in the past four years, and the district has completed a master plan. Jim has shared his expertise when collaborating with oil and gas and other local stakeholders. He is the district's representative as the CASB delegate and attends many school functions. Jim is an excellent role model and exemplifies the qualities of a great board member, community member, and person.
